Kuomintang Affairs:-

The violent and selfish elements have

not yet been all eliminated.

The Military Situation:-

Disarmament has not been carried out.

We must make up our minds about it.

The Political Situation:-

The question of Sinkiang is very serious but nothing has been done for lack of funds.

Diplomatic Affairs:-

If China keeps to the safe political path

our aspirations for the abolition of the unequal

treaties can be realized.

On the 26th at the joint weekly meeting held by the

Branch Political Council, the Headquarters of the 8th Route Army and the Provincial Government in memory (of the late President), Li Tsai Sham, Chairman of the Branch Political

Council, attended and made a report on the Central Kuomintang affairs, the military position, the political situation and diplomatic affairs in order that all his civil comrades may understand the latest political situation of the Central

Government. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on that

day. There were present the Chief Secretary and all

departmental secretaries of the Branch Political Council,

all departmental secretaries of the Provincial Goverment

and all departmental Heads and Officers of the Headquarters
